Meet Chris

Attended the University of Cincinnati before joining the Navy. During this period served as an engineering co-op at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center where the Saturn V moon launch vehicle was being developed.

Graduated from the United States Naval Academy as an Ensign with Bachelor Degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics. Served aboard a Destroyer, Battleship, Carrier and served as a Weapons Instructor before transferring to the Naval Reserves. During this period, was selected as the Outstanding Naval Reserve Junior Officer of the Year for the Naval Reserve Association’s 11th District (Southern California, Arizona and Nevada). After a tour as Commanding Officer was selected for resident study at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Graduated with honors with a Master Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Simultaneously earned a Masters in International Relations at Salve Regina College and MBA from Southern Illinois University. Earned the rank of Captain before retiring after 34 years.

As a civilian was involved in the development of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile while at General Dynamics. As a flight test engineer was responsible for the assembly, testing and launch of its first conventional land attack cruise missile which eventually was deployed and saw action in the 1991 Gulf War.

After leaving the War College joined Defense Intelligence Agency. Over a span of 25 years served as U.S. Head of Delegation for numerous exchanges in a number of countries including NATO. Finally served as Program Manager of a national level effort against significant weapon system threats. This involved developing and executing strategies by conducting field missions. Received DIA’s Meritorious Civilian Service Medal.

Was the 2014 Republican candidate for House of Delegate, Maryland District 13 (Howard County). In 2015 was appointed by Governor Hogan as a member of the Board of Airport Zoning Appeals for a term of four years. As a Federal Candidate, was elected as Howard County Delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention. In 2017 was selected as the Vice Chairman of the DC Metroplex BWI Community Roundtable, a community forum, dedicated to give relief to thousands of Maryland residents in the vicinity of BWI suffering from physical trauma, loss of a quiet residential environment and lowering of property values arising from the 2014 implementation of the Federal Aviation Administration’s NextGen technology.

Lived in Maryland for 34 years. Married, father of three who all benefitted from the Howard County School System.

Hobbies include biking, visiting Gettysburg and other Civil War sites, attending sport events and enjoying Maryland’s historical heritage. Also I am a cancer survivor.
